Mysterious and mythic motorcycle racer, Luke (Ryan Gosling) goes from a traveling carnival world of death and whizzes through the country of Schenectady, New York, desperately trying to connect with his former lover, Romina (Eva Mendes), who recently gave birth to a son in secret stunt riders. In an attempt to provide for his new family, Luke closes carnival life and making a series of bank robberies, supported by superb driving ability. The stakes are rising as Luke put on collision with an ambitious officer, Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper), looking for a quick move up the ranks in the police riddled with corruption. A sweeping drama takes place over fifteen years as the sins of the past haunt the present day lives of two high school students who are struggling with the legacy they have inherited.
